The mission of the Saskatchewan Coalition For Organ Donor Awareness (SCODA) is to develop and promote inter-agency efforts to educate the public and health professionals about organ and tissue donation and transplantation.

SCODA's goal are:

1. To disseminate information and create awareness pertaining to organ and tissue donation.

2. To develop and coordinate projects for National Organ and Tissue Awareness Week which is held the third week of April annually.

SCODA was formed in Saskatoon in 1989. The Kidney Foundation of Canada- Saskatchewan Branch, the Saskatchewan Transplant Program and the Lion's Eye Bank came together to create a collaborative group and encourage membership from other organizations with connections to organ and/or tissue donation.

Today, our membership includes the Saskatchewan Transplant Program, the Kidney Foundation of Canada- Saskatchewan Branch, Canadian Diabetes Association, Cystic Fibrosis Foundation, Eye Bank of Saskatchewan, Lung Association of Saskatchewan, Canadian Liver Foundation, and the Saskatoon Organ Transplant Support Group.
